About the Village

Beth Sholom Village is Southeastern Virginia’s first continuum-of-care community for the Jewish aged.

At the center of the campus is The Berger-Goldrich Home, formerly Beth Sholom Home of Eastern Virginia, which since 1980 has been the only nursing facility in the region that incorporates traditional Jewish values. Beth Sholom Village will be the realization of the community’s vision for the most comprehensive care possible for seniors at each level of need.

The Village includes:

• The Berger-Goldrich Home, a premier skilled and long-term care facility, with a specialized unit for Alzheimer residents.

• The Lee A. and Helen G. Gifford Rehabilitation Pavilion

• The Fannie G. and Milton L. Friedman Welcome Center

•The Terrace, a Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Assisted Living Center, with a Memory Enhancement Center for early stage dementia patients. The first in Hampton Roads that caters to Jewish seniors.

•The Sands apartments for independent living.
