Jewish Customs and Traditions

Beth Sholom Village is a community where Jewish families can find comfort in the knowledge that their heritage and traditions will be embraced and preserved. Whether it’s in a Sukkah each fall or around a communal Seder table each spring, Beth Sholom Village cares not only for the body, but the spirit as well.

Religious services are a staple at Beth Sholom Village. They are held each afternoon, every Sunday to Thursday, Shabbat), and Rosh Hoshanah and Yom Kippur, Passover, Sukkot and Shavuot. The Home's services will take place in a new Religious Cultural Center with handicapped accessible bimah (pulpit), movable seating and artistic stained glass windows.

Beth Sholom Village observes all laws of Kashrut (Kosher). Residents and families can take comfort in not only the quality but also the variety of meals, many featuring traditional Jewish dishes, recipes and tastes. (Indeed, we welcome families into our social and religious life.) The comfort of kosher meals, the aroma of fresh baked challah and the observance of Jewish holidays, our residents can continue to enjoy Jewish lives.
