The Berger Goldrich Home at Beth Sholom Village

Since it opened in 1980, Beth Sholom Home of Eastern Virginia has provided the highest quality care and housing for seniors requiring skilled and rehabilitation services.

In 2002, the Board of Directors voted to rename The Home "The Berger-Goldrich Home at Beth Sholom Village". The new name honors two families, and particularly two individuals who have been lifelong supporters. William Berger, a former President of Beth Sholom Home, and Larry Goldrich, an Honorary Life Trustee, have contributed hundreds of volunteer hours to the care of the Jewish Aged in Hampton Roads.

A nonprofit corporation that is managed by a local Board of Directors, The Home has the highest staff to residents ratio in Virginia. Beth Sholom is a Jewish facility, with kosher food, daily religious services and observance of Jewish holidays and customs.

The Home is a 120-bed facility for both skilled and long-term care. Private and semiprivate rooms are available.

The Home has a specialized Alzheimer's Wing with activities directed to the special needs of the Alzheimer's resident.

The Lee A. and Helen G. Gifford Rehabilitation Pavilion is expected to be complete in the Fall of 2003, and will provide an enhanced state of the art rehabilitation program designed to help our residents meet their maximum potential.

Achieving accreditation is an accomplishment we are proud of, and rightfully so. It means we have made the grade. We have been recognized for complying with rigorous national performance standards that promote quality health care delivery.

Most importantly, our accreditation demonstrates that improving patient care is our ongoing commitment and our top priority.

Together with The Terrace Assisted Living Center and The Sands Apartment Building for independent seniors, Beth Sholom Home is part of the Beth Sholom Village continuum-of-care campus, located at 6401 Auburn Drive in Virginia Beach’s College Park neighborhood, within minutes of Interstate 64 and in the heart of Hampton Roads.
