Next Generation
of Care Beth
Sholom has been a leader
in the delivery of quality housing and health care for the aged since its 120 bed nursing home opened
in Virginia Beach in 1980. Now it is
time to move forward again, to provide even more services for the welfare of
todays and tomorrows senior population.
The Board of Directors and administrative staff have been careful stewards of
funds provided by residents, families, contributors and third party payers, Beth Sholom prides itself on always exceeding the expectations
set by its regulatory agencies.
The result is the highest staff to resident ratio in the region, particularly
in nursing staff, as well as expanded mental health services for residents and
specialized units for dementia and rehabilitation.
The key guiding principles of Beth Sholom
have never waivered:
incorporate Jewish values, customs and traditions into
daily life
serve all economic levels of the Jewish community
maximize resident independence, dignity, privacy and choice
focus on disability prevention and restorative care
ensure resident safety and security
assure financial viability and stability for our future
foster aging in place
And to organize a continuum-of-care, according to the strengths, needs and values
of individual residents and clients.
The campus, named Beth Sholom Village, will be a model for the area, state and
nation. The latest advances in restorative care, technology, aesthetics, communications,
meal preparation, infrastructure and inter-generational activities will be incorporated
into the management of the facilities. Families will be able to place their
parents or other loved ones into The Home, The Terrace or The Sands with renewed
confidence that they will be cared for
with the love and respect that Jewish law demands.
Beth Sholom has always been synonymous with the best in long-term care. As Beth
Sholom Village, we provide comprehensive services for the elderly as a continuum-of-care.
We are The Next Generation of Care.
