The Sands Independent Living Apartments
Our independent living apartments offer gracious retirement housing in an active, vital Jewish community.The Sands opened in 1982, offering open access to an airy Atrium. There are two elevators for easy access. The Library and Activities Room are always busy with a variety of activities. Located on The Village campus, in the heart of College Park, The Sands is just minutes from shopping, restaurants and medical facilities.

The Sands staff plans many social and educational events for residents including shopping trips, concerts, sightseeing tours and other community activities. A handicap accessible van is available for scheduled trips. The Sands residents elect a Resident Council, which does fund raising, plans events for residents and serves several other functions. Jewish Family Services provides a Resident Services Coordinator who is available to the Sands residents.
